Information on the person responsible for data protection can be found in the University of Stuttgart's data protection declaration. The recipients of the personal data transmitted via the form are the employees in the International Office responsible for the program. After the application process is completed, the data of applicants who are not selected for the program will be deleted. The personal data of students admitted to the program will be deleted approximately two months after the end of the program. You have the right to obtain information about the data stored about you by the university and/or to have incorrect data corrected. Furthermore, you have the right to erasure, the right to restrict processing, or the right to object to processing. You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of your personal data violates legal regulations. The supervisory authority responsible is the Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Baden-Württemberg (Landesbeauftragter für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg). On grounds relating to your particular situation, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data according to art. 6 subsection 1 letter e GDPR (data processing in the public interest) at any time

When you access this or other websites, your browser transmits data to our web server. The following data is temporarily recorded in a log file during an active connection: IP address of the requesting computer, date and time of access, name, URL, and the amount of data transferred for the requested file, access status (file transferred, not found, etc.), browser type and operating system (if transmitted by the requesting web browser), and the website from which access occurred (if transmitted by the requesting web browser). The processing of data in this log file occurs as follows: Log entries are continuously and automatically evaluated to detect and respond to attacks on the web server. In specific cases, such as reported disruptions, errors, or security incidents, a manual analysis is conducted. Additionally, active network components of the University of Stuttgart record the date and timestamp, IP address + port (source), IP address + port (destination), and the packet size when websites are accessed. The temporary storage of the IP address by the system is necessary to deliver the website to the user’s computer. For this purpose, the IP address must be stored for the duration of the session. The storage in a log file ensures the website's functionality. Additionally, the data helps us optimize the website and maintain the security of our IT systems. The IP addresses contained in the log entries are not merged with other data sets unless there is concrete evidence of a disruption to proper operation. Logging on active network components also serves to ensure the security of IT systems. These purposes also represent our legitimate interest in data processing under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legal basis for the temporary storage of data and log files is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. If investigative measures are initiated due to attacks on our IT systems, the aforementioned data and/or log files may be provided to state investigative authorities (e.g., police, public prosecutor's office). The same applies if relevant authorities and/or courts request information from the University and the University is obligated to comply.
